Hank gets revived again, now with bandages covering the spot where Jesus stabbed him. However, Hank pulls out a shotgun and uses it to kill both Jesus and the Sheriff, then falls dead from blood loss. Right before he can kill the Sheriff, Jesus stabs him with his sword. Hank later makes his way back to where the Sheriff is. Thanks to the Improbability Drive, the Sun sprouts a body and fights Hank, but Hank defeats it, plunging Nevada into the night. Hank gets knocked out of the Sheriff's building and onto the streets. However, upon noticing Hank's presence, the Sheriff activates the Improbability Drive, distorting reality and causing whales and marshmallows to fall from the sky. Hank once again fights his way through the Sheriff's minions in a quest to get revenge on the Sheriff and Jesus. Hank is later revived, albeit with a bandage covering his head wound. After killing many Grunts who serve as bodyguards for the Sheriff and Tricky, Hank makes it to the Sheriff's room, only to be shot in the head by Jesus. Hank's next appearance involves him trying to kill the Sheriff. He then promptly began dancing to the Boombox, having acquired a kill count of 30 - 'thirty two people actually, if you count the zombies'.Īccording to a title card at the end of the animation, Hank was interviewed after his rampage, and states that 'he would later admit to having a good time' fighting and killing the other Grunts. Hank then kills a grunt dancing in the background, leaving him the only person alive. Several more Grunts charge at Hank, but Hank kills them using twin PPKs, throwing knives and a sawed-off shotgun. However, Hank dodges the shots Jesus fires and kills Jesus. Hank kills them both and Jesus summons a cannon to shoot Hank. Jesus eventually appears and revives two Grunts as Zombies to fight Hank. After touching the boombox, Hank was punched to the floor by Boombox Guy, and immediately began fighting him as several other Grunts arrived, all of whom Hank killed. He is seen trying to either turn off or take a boombox playing the Chicken Dance held by another Grunt, nicknamed Boombox Guy. Hank first appears as a Grunt, referred to as "Our Hero". Hank's initial appearance in Madness Combat 1, immediately before he gets punched by Boombox Guy. ( Although he uses the grunt to break a window and as a meat shield afterwards ) He is also shown to have a sense of humour as he mocks the Soldat agent in Madness Combat 9.5 for having only one eye by pointing at his own eyes. He also has no problem using other people as meat shields.ĭespite this, Hank has shown to be merciful in some of the incidents by how he spares the grunt Sanford and Deimos bring him in Incident 100A as it was the wrong guy and even saves a grunt in Incident 010A. He is also seen to be cocky in Incident 010A from how he comments on the Mag Agent as he fights, although he messes up and is torn apart. However, it can be inferred that he is sadistic from the end narration of Madness Combat 1 saying he "had a good time" killing the other grunts. Like many of the Madness Combat characters, Hank has an ambiguous personality. Hank serves as the main protagonist of nearly all entries in the series, except for Madness Combat 8: Inundation, where he's a posthumous character, Madness Combat 9: Aggregation, where he's the tritagonist, and the entire Sanford & Deimos Arc, where he’s a supporting character. Nevertheless, it becomes increasingly clear over the course of the series that he is the lesser of all of the evils in the whole Nevada, and thus making him not a fully-fledged villain, but somewhat of an anti-hero. He is a mercenary on a mission to destroy the Agency Against Hank Wimbleton.ĭue to the ambiguous nature of the series, Hank's motives are not fully shown, and some of his actions, especially ones he takes early on in the series, can be interpreted as villainous. Wimbleton is the main protagonist villain of the Madness Combat series on Newgrounds. ~ Hank's description in Madness: Project Nexus 2. Hank is the primary anti-hero of the series. one which maintains a stranglehold on Nevada with its seemingly unlimited supply of loyal and disposable soldiers. ~ Ending narration for the first Madness Combat.Ī psychopathic mercenary gunman on a take-no-prisoners mission to wipe out an all-powerful Agency. Thirty two people actually, if you count the zombies. And he would later admit to having a good time doing it. And so on this day our hero had slain thirty men.
